There was a time when a knit polo, a sharp collar, and a clean stripe could say more than a logo ever would.

In the 1960s and 1970s, style was personal. It moved through record shops, late nights, dance floors, and city streets with quiet confidence. Clothes were chosen with instinct. Silhouettes were disciplined. Details were noticed. What you wore said something about how you saw the world.

OXKNIT was born from a love of that spirit.

We are a vintage-inspired knitwear brand rooted in the aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s — especially the clarity, confidence, and attitude of MOD culture. Not to recreate the past as costume, but to carry its best qualities forward: sharp proportions, tactile knits, and a sense of character that lasts beyond a season.

Because somewhere along the way, fashion lost its balance. Too much of it became fast, disposable, and forgettable. “Vintage” became a surface treatment — a pattern without purpose, a mood without structure.

We take a different view.
